When a designer starts branching out into accessories, like watches, it usually is at the behest of some marketing team. 

But when Isabel Marant launched her watch line, she did it in memory of her father. After his passing, Izzy kept to wearing his watch, her most treasured keepsake, like the day of her runway shows … And even though the watch no longer works, Ms. Marant wants to make sure that her father’s presence is right by her when she needs him most, solemnly saying:

“so that he remains in my memories, like an extension of himself….a hand on my hand”.
